As of now, Singapore has 6 public universities. Two of those universities, National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) are ranked amongst the top 50 of the world. Singapore’s immigration laws permit its students to work for up to 16 hours a week during school days and full time during holidays. This, however, might depend on the university/ course you are enrolled in.
After completing your graduation, if you received a job offer in Singapore, securing a work permit is not difficult. In case you are not able to get a job offer before you complete your studies, you still have an option of getting a long-term social visit pass which would give you 12 months of stay in Singapore during which you can look for meaningful employment.
